Scripture: I John 3:18-24
I. The first rung: By your love for God as demonstrated in deeds and in truth (vv. 18-19).
II. The second rung: By a heart that does not condemn us before God (vv. 20-21).
III. The third rung: By your prayers being answered by God (v. 22a).
IV. The fourth rung: By your obedience to God's commandments being motivated by a desire to please Him (v. 22b).
