Far More For His Glory

More For His Glory

Pastor’s Message

Some might be tempted to just settle for what God has already done among us. But we want “More...for His Glory!” People in our community must not be destined for hell while we sit on our hands. Like God, we do not want anyone to miss heaven (2 Peter 3:9). The first question that is asked in the Westminster Shorter Catechism of Faith is: “What is the chief end of man?” The answer is: “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” We as members of CBC and the Kingdom of God simply want “More...for His Glory!” We want more people to be saved and more people to spend the rest of their lives here and in heaven glorifying God and enjoying Him forever. We believe that we have nearly reached the saturation point in our physical facilities and more space will be required to reach “More...for His Glory!”

Running an average Sunday morning worship attendance of 368 with a sanctuary that seats a maximum of 200 people can only be done by doing multiple worship services. It is a joy for me to preach three times on Sunday mornings, but we have reached the point that we must have a larger sanctuary and an addition to our Children’s Center if we are going to be able to accommodate continued growth in the future.

Over the past several years, God has done some awesome things within our family of faith. I believe that God is going to use “More...for His Glory!” to write the finest chapter in the history of CBC. Please familiarize yourself with the rest of this introductory brochure about “More”and ask God if He wants you to join one of our campaign teams. Still believing that the best is yet to come...

Goals

  • Pay-off our existing building debt of just over $200,000.00
(Praise the Lord, this goal was met September 2009)
  • Building an addition to our Children’s Center for about $200,000.00 (about $80,000 has been received as of March 2010)
  • Building a new worship center that will seat nearly 600 people and then converting the current sanctuary into an adult education center (about two million dollars).

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21
