What Kind of Church Are You?
We are a Southern Baptist congregation with a vision and mission to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our community. Though Southern Baptist in denomination, we like to say, “We are Christians with a capital “C” and Baptists with a lower case “b.” Our emphasis is on Christian doctrine and our highest commitment is to the Word of God as the absolute rule and authority for faith and practice.
How Long Are Your Services?
Due to multiple services and age-graded Bible study classes, the services last precisely 1 hour.
What Time Are Your Sunday Services?
8:30am – Traditional Worship Service
9:45am – Contemporary Worship Service and age graded Bible study classes
11:00am – Contemporary Worship Service and age graded Bible study classes
6:30pm – Sunday Evening Service and AWANA Clubs
Where Do I Park?
Guest and handicap parking spaces are located in the main parking lot beside the church close to the main Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. We have general parking lots that encircle our campus, 360 degree's. Currently we are under construction as we are building more parking lots and a New Worship Center.
What Should I Wear?
There is no dress code at our church. Many people dress up, and just as many come dressed casually.
What About My Preschoolers?
Child care is provided in the Children’s Center during all worship services.
What Are Your Worship Services Like?
Our worship services include elements of music, prayer, offerings, testimonies, the ordinances of baptism & the Lord's Supper, and expository preaching. The music at the 8:30am service (and all evening services) is traditional (choir and/or hymns). The music at the 9:45am and 11:00am services is contemporary (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboard, congas, violin, drums - but ear plugs not required!)
What is the Preaching Style, What is it Like?
The preaching at all services is expository. Expository preaching, as defined by Dr. Danny Akin (Engaging Exposition) is: “Text driven preaching that honors the truth of Scripture as it was given by the Holy Spirit. Its goal is to discover the God-inspired meaning through historical-grammatical-theological investigation and interpretation. By means of engaging and compelling proclamation, the preacher explains, illustrates and applies the meaning of the biblical text in submission to and in the power of the Holy Spirit, preaching Christ for a verdict of changed lives.” Our pastors typically work through a book of the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse. During special seasons or as special needs arise, the pastors may put a message series on hold to address specific topics, but the preaching will always be expository (driven by a single text of Scripture).
Will I Have to Say Anything or be Singled Out?
Be assured that you will not be singled out or embarrassed in any way. You may (if you so choose) fill out a guest information card if you would like more information about our church, although, if you prefer not to, that is fine as well.
Where Do I Go?
When you arrive make your way to our main sanctuary. If you need directions to Sunday School, feel free to ask our greeters; they would love to assist you.
We also have Campus Maps (below) for all our Bible Studies on Sundays, including A.W.A.N.A.
Feel free to to print yourself a copy of these maps and bring it with you to help you find your way around the Church Campus while you attend our Services, Sunday School and other Classes and Bible Studies.
